Sian Ka´an - Tour
This tour is in the biggest natural protected area in the state of Quintana Roo. It is an ecological tour for people interested in nature, in ecosystem, plants
and birds. Although we occasionally see raccoons, snakes, crocodiles and manatees.

Schedule
8:10 Pick-up at Nueva Vida. Leave for the reserve.
9:00 Stop at entrance of the Reserve of Sian Ka´an where the guide will explain the . objectives of the reserve and important facts about the existing flora, fauna and ecosystems. Walk an interpretative trail to learn about the vegetation found on the coastal dune areas. Leave for Caapechen Lagoon.
10:00 Get into a 23´ open-air boat with an four stroke outboard motor. See diverse ecosystems, plants and birds in the lagoon of Caapechen, Boca Paila and Chunyaxche. Travel Through a natural canal used by ancient maya as a trade route and explore mayan temples . Swim or snorkel in the fresh water canal and relax as the current takes you downstream.
15:00 Return to the boat landing and relax on the beach.
15:30 Leave for Nueva Vida

8:00 Leave from Nueva Vida
9:00 We board a Mercedes Benz Unimog and head to “Rancho San Felipe”. We begin a 1.4 mile Jungle Crossing. Visitors will enjoy an intense 4x4 overland adventure.
9:45 Arrival at Rancho San Felipe.
9:45 – 10:45 Snorkel tour with specialized aquatic lighting in the longest explored underwater cave and tunnel system in the world: Nohoch Nah Chich.
11:00 – 12:00 Visit Heavens Gate cave entrance and relax in the hammocks.
12:00 – 13:00 LUNCH at the Mayan ranch.
13:30 Board Unimogs and head out of the jungle to Punta Soliman Bay.
14:20 Arrival at Punta Soliman Bay.
14:50 – 16:00 Kayak Adventure to the Reef and Reef Snorkeling Tour (this activity is subject to sea conditions and may be replaced with a snorkel tour in another location if necessary).
17:00 End of the Expedition. Transported back to hotel
This expedition includes: 4x4 adventure in Mercedes Benz Unimog; kayak and snorkel gear; multilingual adventure guide; entrance fees to Nohoch; lunch and drinks.
Recommendations: Bring comfortable footwear, swimming gear, towel, and camera(aquatic as well if possible), extra cash.

This expedition is not recommended for persons with severe back problems, or serious heart problems, nor for persons who suffer from claustrophobia or who don´t know how to swim. Children under 6 years and pregnant women

7:30 Leave from Nueva Vida
9:00 – 9:30 Arrival at Pac-Chen or Cobá (depending on daily logistics).
1) Pac-Chen ( 5 to 6 hours): You will have the opportunity to both see how the Mayans live and experience with these wonderful people and adventure in their natural world.
Rappel in cenote (Duration 1:15 hrs): After a 20 minute walk through the jungles of the Mayan World we arrive at the “Jaguar Cenote” where we will teach you to rappel 45ft./17mts. Into the crystal clear waters of this spectacular cave system.
Z-line crossing: after a 5 minutes walk from the rappel station we arrive at
the “Caiman Cenote”.
Here we will harness you to the zip-line and allow you to fly 300ft./100mts. over an open (to the air) cenote that is surrounded by pristine jungle vegetation.
Canoe in Laguna Mojarras (Duration 40 min.): Setting out on a gentle canoe trip on this beautiful lagoon you will be able to appreciate another perspective of the Mayan village of Pac-Chen, while at the same time being able to visually explore the natural surroundings and the abundant bird life.
Mayan Feast: With a wonderful view of the lagoon, and its green jungle backdrop, we take time to enjoy an authentic Mayan culinary experience. The menu includes: Chicken cooked with the traditional Mayan ingredients, rice, beans, potatoes and hand made tortillas.
2) Cobá (XI century)(2 hours): In this majestic archeological site we take a two-hour tour of one of the most important and oldest (in the Yucatan peninsula) Mayan treasures in the region, visiting its temples and the legendary ball game area. After a 1.5 km walk we arrive at the Nohoch Muul pyramid ( the tallest in Quintana Roo.) from the top of which you may enjoy a wonderful view of the amazing subtropical jungle that surrounds the site.
4:30 – 5:00 End of the Expedition. Transported back to hotel.

Cavern Diving Tour
Enjoy the ultimate in cavern diving while exploring the mysterious and secret environs of the Mayan jungle and its ancient underground rivers.
Tour Includes: Jungle transportation, guide, tanks, weights and land use fees.
Recommended: 3 mm full wet suit. (water temp: 75 F; 24 C)
Dive Does Not Include: Open water dive equipment, dive light or wet suit.
Rental Equipment Is Available: By individual item or complete dive gear.
